RackBase (“RackBase,” “we,” “us”) operates a directory and marketplace for digital-infrastructure facilities. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. This is a starter draft and must be reviewed by counsel before launch.
Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, and password (stored hashed by our authentication provider) when you create an account.
- Usage data — pages viewed, searches, saved lists, and RFQ/project activity you create in the app.
- Communications — messages, offers, and documents you exchange with other parties through the platform.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type, and similar data collected automatically for security and analytics.
How we use it
- To provide and operate the marketplace, matching, and collaboration features.
- To authenticate you and secure your account.
- To send transactional email (account confirmation, password reset, RFQ activity) — never marketing without consent.
- To improve the product and monitor for abuse.
Facility & company directory data
Our facility, operator, and connectivity listings are aggregated from publicly available sources (operator websites, public registries, and similar). We do not represent this data as complete or error-free. If you operate a facility and want a listing corrected or removed, contact us or claim your company in the app.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us run the platform (hosting, database, email delivery, analytics) under confidentiality obligations, and where required by law. Within the marketplace, information you submit to a specific counterparty (e.g. an RFQ thread) is visible only to that counterparty.
Your choices
You can update your profile, change your password, or request account deletion from Settings or by contacting us. Depending on your location you may have additional rights (access, correction, deletion, portability) under laws such as GDPR or CCPA.
